-How to Walk in Confidence With Your Camera-
-Setup-
If your new at photography and reading this, congrats! You have taken the first step in capturing moments that will last forever! If you’re wondering how to set your camera settings easily and accurately you can use this as a guide to get started! Let’s dive in!

An easy setup list to get you started…
#1 -Set your aperture, based on the amount of people in the room, and how much you want in focus. Tip– your aperture should never be lower than the amount of people you have in the room. If you are photographing nature than you are picking your aperture based on how much you want in focus. The bigger the aperture the more in focus. I usually start at an aperture of 4.0 when shooting nature pictures; then usually bumping it up as the shoot goes on.
#2- Set your shutter speed. Start with your shutter speed at least double the length of your lens. This also depends on if you are shooting still pictures, or motion pictures. If you are shooting motion pictures, than your shutter speed should not go below 1/125. Now if your shooting still pictures start with your shutter speed at least double the length of your lens, than adjust from there.
#3- Set your ISO. As I have said before you don’t want to go above 4,000 ISO without changing anything else. But when I am taking outdoor pictures my ISO is lower because there is more light coming into the camera. I have shot photos at an ISO of 400 outside in the harsh light than moved to the shade and bumped it up to an ISO of 2500. Usually were I hang out with ISO is in the 1000-3000 range… in ideal lighting.
#4- Take a trial photo and adjust if needed!
-Word of advice-
Don’t stress about getting the perfect picture; don’t be afraid to make mistakes; you only get better with the mistakes you make.

-The best pictures-
The best pictures are the ones that you don’t expect to turn out. For instance this picture on the left was taken at an ISO of 6400, an aperture of 6.3, and a shutter speed of 1/160. I did not think this picture would turn out… but it did!
Don’t be afraid to think outside the box!
Wherever you are. wherever you go. You can find beauty in God's creation.
